What to Do If You Experience a Problem with Your Hot Water Unit

A hot water system needs to be serviced regularly to keep it in optimum working order and prevent problems from occurring.

As a general guide, continuous or instantaneous flow system should be serviced annually, and electric and gas hot water units need a service every five years.

During a hot water unit service, a gas technician will replace old or worn-out anodes in your tank or cylinder, and check safety devices like the temperature pressure release valve.

If any repairs are needed, your plumber will inform you of the cost, or advise you of the best course of action to take.
